Privacy Policy

WhiteMarker (“WhiteMarker”, “we”, “us”) provides a customer-relationship and calendar management tool for event planners, photographers, and similar professionals. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the WhiteMarker web application at whitemarker.io and related services.
Information we collect
Account information. When you sign in, we receive your name, email address, and profile basics from your Google account (or the email/password you provide) to create and secure your account.
Information you create in WhiteMarker. Events, contacts, clients, vendors, tasks, notes, messages, invoices, proposals, and similar records you choose to store.
Google user data. With your explicit consent, WhiteMarker accesses certain Google services on your behalf (see the next section). We only request the scopes needed to provide features you use.
Billing. Subscriptions are processed by Stripe or MercadoPago. We do not store full card numbers; our payment processors handle card data directly.
How we use Google user data
WhiteMarker requests the following Google API scopes, each tied to a specific feature:
- Google Calendar (
calendar) — to read, create, and update the events you manage in WhiteMarker, which are stored as calendar events in your own Google Calendar. - Google Tasks (
tasks) — to sync the to-dos you create in WhiteMarker with your Google Tasks. - Gmail send (
gmail.send) — to send emails you compose or approve (such as client inquiry replies and invoices) from your own Gmail address. We do not read your inbox. - Google Drive file (
drive.file) — to upload and access only the files you create or open with WhiteMarker (such as documents and images attached to events, notes, or messages). This scope does not grant access to any other files in your Drive.
We access this data solely to provide the features described above, at your direction. We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell it.
Limited Use disclosure
WhiteMarker’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically, we do not transfer or use Google user data for serving advertisements, and we do not allow humans to read this data unless: (a) you give explicit consent for specific data; (b) it is necessary for security purposes (such as investigating abuse); (c) it is required to comply with applicable law; or (d) the data is aggregated and anonymized and used to improve the service or for internal operations in line with this policy.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run WhiteMarker, under contracts that limit their use of it: Google (the services above), Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), and Stripe / MercadoPago (payments). Data you choose to share with your own clients through a client portal is visible to those invited clients. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
Data retention and deletion
We retain your data while your account is active. You can delete individual records at any time inside the app. You can revoke WhiteMarker’s access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. To delete your WhiteMarker account and associated data, email us at whitemarker.io@gmail.com and we will process the request within 30 days.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls. Google access and refresh tokens are stored securely and used only to perform actions you request. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Children
WhiteMarker is intended for business use by adults and is not directed to children under 16.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date above.
